RADION X HealthEx International 2024

SINGAPOREANS UNITED IN SERVING THE REGION.

Every year, HealthEx International – a fellowship of Singaporean medical students & doctors studying & working abroad, embark on this journey, not just to serve the vulnerable, but fulfil a long term commitment to journey– providing healthcare and strengthening the social safety net, for a tribal community of 20,000.

This year, 16 Singaporean doctors, physiotherapist, doctors and medical students studying in Ireland, UK and Singapore took 2 weeks away from work and their families in Singapore to make a difference; and this is the 11th year that Healthcare Expeditions International has partnered RADION International.

RADION International’s field office is fondly known by the locals as “Singapore”, over the last 16 years, it has been synonymous with a place where can receive not just training, but also help.
Through this collaboration, 634 students from Baan Khek Noi School were provided with health screening, 140 patients were given medical assistance, 64 children with health conditions were flagged out, and 5 child victims were identified.

Beyond the direct assistance, the team also provided 2 physio workshops, 2 preventive training on diabetes & hypertension and conducted the a bi-annual First Aid, CPR & IV training for 24 teachers & community caregivers; strengthening social safety nets and empowering local changemakers in serving their communities.
Earlier this year, RADION received the Outstanding Organisation award, from the local government for it's long-standing contributions to the community.
This is how Singaporeans are gently impacting the region - one life at a time.
